Bolivian Torch cactus seeds come from a tall, columnar cactus from the high deserts of Bolivia. It is native to Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Its can grow up to 2 meters tall and have multiple branches.
It has a large variability in the number of ribs (0-9) and produces some of the most fascinating forms of variation. The cactus shows nocturnal flowers up to 15 centimeters in diameter.
This cactus is cold hardy and can withstand temperatures down to freezing if kept dry. Hardy to at least USDA zone 7 and possibly even colder. An excellent addition to a rare plant collection.
