Shipping Policies 

Postage is calculated at checkout. Most small plant and seeds orders are shipped within 5 days of order processing. In rare cases, some orders can take a week or more to prepare for shipment, especially, large orders, or orders during the colder months.


Tracked Domestic Shipping: All tracked shipments are sent with full tracking and delivery confirmation. Tracked shipments are covered by our Cactus Commitment.
This means they are guaranteed to arrive safely or a free replacement.

 

By default, we emphasize convenience and will always have a package left at the delivery address or mailbox, unless otherwise requested. If you require signature confirmation, or prefer to have it delivered to your local post office for pickup please make a note at checkout. Though very rare, with shipping related problems the final outcome often solely rests with the third party carrier. Once a claim has been submitted, the investigation process can take up one month. Postal investigators will determine the final result of any claims. 

 

Untracked Shipping: We offer low cost shipping for customers with untracked shipping. If a shipping method is untracked, it will always indicate this in its title. For example. “SEEDS | UNTRACKED” Although untracked packages are reliable 99% of the time, they can still come with risks and/or be very slow with delivery. When selecting this method of shipping the customer agrees to the following terms; 

 

  •  All untracked shipments is explicitly at buyers risk. 
  • There are no replacements for damage or loss with untracked shipments.
 
Untracked USA: USPS offers a free service called “Informed Delivery” that allows users to receive greyscale images of their incoming letter mail via email before it’s delivered. You can see and track the envelope sent a few days before it arrives.
 

Pickup/Delivery: Some orders may qualify for hand delivery within the GTA. If you have a special request, please email us, or make a note at checkout.


Tracked International Shipping Policies:

Seeds and plants are shipped worldwide by small packet mail. We guarantee safe delivery as per tracking, if lost or damaged we will resend a new order free of charge. However, the customer is responsible for knowing and heeding any import regulations, prohibitions and restrictions which may apply to their specific country. 


Winter Shipping: 
We do our best to insulate and/or heat packages during winter transport. Safe delivery of all live cacti and seeds is guaranteed throughout the year up until the point of delivery. The buyer understands that all cacti are live plants and sensitive to prolonged freezing temperatures out of our control if they are not picked up on time and/or left outside after delivery . It is the buyers responsibility to follow tracking numbers and pick up cacti once delivered without delay. Shipping is weather dependant, and despite safely delivering countless cacti throughout the winter, we still take precautions. In some circumstances shipments will be held until weather conditions have stabilized.

Order Cancellation Prior to ShipmentAny order cancelled prior to shipment, due to any change of circumstances on buyer’s end will be refunded less 5% or $5, whichever is greater.

 

Order Cancellation Once Processing: Any order cancelled by the customer once order status is  “processing”, will be refunded less a re-stocking fee up to 25%. The re-stocking fee is dependant on order type of order and status of shipment.

 

Cactus Returns: Buyer has 7 days to return items for a full refund minus postage if not satisfied. Buyer is responsible for return postage. 

Warranties

Seed Warranties: Cactus Kingdom warrants seed to be of the variety and quantity advertised. Many seeds can cross pollinate and hybridize as well as revert back to the original cultivar. Seed is a natural live product which also depends on many critical grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, type of soil, irrigation, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and acceptable conditions during the growing period. Germination is affected by such factors as temperature, moisture content, light  intensity and contamination of planting media. These factors are totally out of the seller’s control and are the buyer’s responsibility and risk. Consequently, the seller cannot guarantee seed to perform properly regardless of conditions or the buyer’s methods or mistakes.

Non-Guarantee: All seeds are sold “as is” without warranty, expressed or implied, as to description and productiveness. Goods should be inspected upon arrival and claims made at once. We cannot consider claims after seeds have been stored or planted.  Purity and germination of seeds, when mentioned are for information only and without guarantee.

Receiving and Acceptance: Plants and seeds are perishable. All shipments are to be immediately and carefully unpacked and inspected on arrival and then placed in proper storage. (See Cactus Care

Damage Claims: Claims for any cause must be made in writing within 3 days after arrival of goods, this period of time is expressly agreed to be reasonable. If the buyer does not give such notice, buyer agrees to have irrevocably and unconditionally accepted the goods. Cactus Kingdom furthermore will not consider any claim after seed or live cactus has been cleaned, processed, improperly stored, planted, or otherwise treated, modified or used in any way. By acceptance of the seed and live cactus the buyer acknowledges the conditions of sale and that the limitations and disclaimers herein described are the conditions of sale and that they constitute the entire agreement between the buyer and seller.
