Shipping Policies 

Returns | Canceled Orders

Shipping is calculated at checkout once address is entered. Most small plant and seeds orders are shipped within 3 days of receiving order. Certain orders can take up to two weeks to prepare for shipment, especially during the winter months.

Tracked Domestic Shipping: All tracked shipments are guaranteed to arrive safely as indicated by tracking and will be sent with delivery confirmation, and insurance. By default, we emphasize security over priority and will always have a package returned to the post office if nobody is present to accept it. Shipping is weather dependant, and despite safely delivering countless cacti throughout the winter, we take precautions, and in some circumstances will hold off on shipping until conditions have stabilized.

Untracked Domestic Shipping: Untracked packages are not insured or traceable, any untracked shipment is explicitly at buyers risk. 

Pickup/Delivery: All orders over $250 qualify for free delivery within the GTA when requested.

International Shipping Policies: Live cacti are only shipped domestically within Canada. Seeds sent by small packet mail, will be sent at buyers risk. If lost or damaged, there is no recourse for buyer. If you are unwilling to take that risk, please request tracking, with this option insurance is included for damage/loss and delivery is guaranteed. You are responsible for knowing and heeding any import regulations, prohibitions and restrictions which may apply for your specific country for seed orders. All our cacti and seeds are legal under Canadian domestic law. We do not provide plant export permits or phyto documents at this time.

Winter Shipping: We guarantee the safe delivery of all live cacti and seeds throughout the year. However, the buyer understands that all cacti are live plants and sensitive to prolonged freezing temperatures. It is the buyers responsibility to follow tracking numbers and pick up cacti once delivered without delay. We do our best to insulate all packages during winter transport, and guarantee safe packaging or all parcels.  

Order Cancellation Prior to Shipment: Any order cancelled prior to shipment, due to a change of circumstances on buyer’s end will be refunded less a $2 bank fee.


Order Cancellation Once Processing: Any order cancelled once order status is  “processing” due to buyer, will be refunded less a re-stocking fee up to 25%. The re-stocking fee is dependant on order type, and quantity.


Cactus Returns: For domestic customers tracking is included with most orders and we guarantee the package to arrive in good condition. Buyer has 7 days to return items for a full refund minus postage if not satisfied. Buyer is responsible for return postage. 


Seed Warranties: Cactus Kingdom warrants seed to be of the variety and quantity advertised. Many seeds can cross pollinate and hybridize as well as revert back to the original cultivar. Seed is a live product which depends on many critical grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, type of soil, irrigation, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and acceptable weather conditions during the growing period. Germination is affected by such factors as temperature, moisture content, light  intensity and contamination of planting media. These factors are totally out of the seller’s control and are the buyer’s responsibility and risk. Consequently, the seller cannot guarantee seed to perform properly regardless of conditions or the buyer’s methods or mistakes.

Non-Guarantee: All seeds are sold “as is” without warranty, expressed or implied, as to description and productiveness. Goods should be inspected upon arrival and claims made at once. We cannot consider claims after seeds have been stored or planted.  Purity and germination of seeds, when mentioned are for information only and without guarantee.

Receiving and Acceptance: Seeds are perishable. All shipments are to be immediately and carefully unpacked and inspected on arrival and then placed in proper storage.

Claims: Claims for any cause must be made in writing within 3 days after arrival of goods, this period of time is expressly agreed to be reasonable. If the buyer does not give such notice, buyer agrees to have irrevocably and unconditionally accepted the goods. Cactus Kingdom furthermore will not consider any claim after seed or live cactus has been cleaned, processed, improperly stored, planted, or otherwise treated, modified or used in any way. By acceptance of the seed and live cactus the buyer acknowledges that the conditions of sale and that the limitations and disclaimers herein described are the conditions of sale and that they constitute the entire agreement between the buyer and seller.

Though very rare, with shipping related problems the outcome solely rests with our third party postal insurer. Once a claim has been filed, the final decision rests with the insurance adjuster in deciding the outcome of any claims. The investigation process can take up to 3 weeks.
