Trichocereus Peruvianus | Peruvian Torch Cactus Cutting
Live Peruvian Torch Cutting
Peruvian Torch Cactus (Trichocereus peruvianus, syn. Echinopsis peruviana) is a vigorous, fast-growing columnar species native to the western Andes of Peru, typically found between 2,000–3,000 m. Its bluish-green, often glaucous stems feature 6–9 broad, rounded ribs and a frosted appearance, complemented by large, showy white flowers. Mature plants can reach 3–6 m (9.8–19.7 ft) in height, with stem diameters of 8–18 cm (3.1–7.1 in).
Closely related to the San Pedro cactus but far less common, Peruvian Torch shares a similar growth pattern while displaying longer spines, a deeper blue-green tone, and exceptional hardiness—often outperforming San Pedro in colder climates.
These are very thick, well-rooted cuttings taken from an old, established mother plant. Perfect for collectors looking to jump-start their collection with strong, mature growth.
