Lophophora Diffusa var. Koehresii San Francisco Cactus Seeds
Lophophora Diffusa seeds from the San Francisco region in Guanajuato state.
Lophophora diffusa var. koehresii is a rare and highly sought-after spineless cactus native to the limestone-rich regions of northeastern Mexico. This distinctive variety is known for its soft, flattened, button-like form and smooth, bluish-green to pale gray-green body. Unlike many cacti, it lacks spines, instead featuring gentle ribs divided into rounded tubercles that give it a sculpted, symmetrical appearance. In season, it produces delicate pink to pale whitish flowers that emerge from the woolly crown at the center of the plant, adding subtle color contrast to its muted tones. Extremely slow growing, this variety develops gradually over many years, forming solitary heads or small clusters with age. It thrives in bright light and exceptionally well-draining mineral soil, requiring minimal watering and protection from excess moisture and cold. Its understated beauty and compact growth habit make it especially prized by dedicated collectors of rare desert species.
