Golden Barrel Cactus Seeds | Echinocactus Grusonii Seeds
This cactus is known as the golden barrel cactus, golden ball. It is a well known species of cactus but difficult to find at this size.It is endemic to east-central Mexico. It is rare and endangered in the wild, where it is found near Mesa de León in the state of Querétaro, and in the state of Hidalgo. The cactus grows in volcanic rock on slopes, at altitudes around 1,400 metres.
It prefers a warm climate but can handle temperatures down to -10 C for short periods. 12 C and up minimum.This cactus does great in Full Sun.
Slowly growing, solitary or clumping Regular water in summer, little to none in the winter. Yellow flowers, 1.5” – 2”, March thru April.
