PICK YOUR OWN CACTUS – YOU WILL RECEIVE THE EXACT CACTUS PICTURED.

The Grandfather Lophophora williamsii, often referred to as a mature Peyote cactus, is a prized collector’s specimen known for its age, size, and beauty. Unlike younger plants, this established, long-lived cactus develops a commanding presence with larger button-like heads, rich blue-green to gray-green coloration, and a well-formed crown.

Native to the deserts of Mexico and Texas, Lophophora williamsii is a spineless, slow-growing cactus that can live for decades. Mature “Grandfather” plants may form impressive clusters and produce delicate pink to white flowers during their blooming season, making them a breathtaking centerpiece in any cactus collection.

All our grandfather Lophophoras are hard grown. Lophophora williamsii reaches a maximum size range, and cultivating them beyond this point is usually very challenging and time-consuming, as their growth slows significantly with age. This is what makes naturally grown plants above 5.5cm very special.

  • Rare, mature Lophophora williamsii specimen

  • Distinct “Grandfather” form with larger, established growth

  • Produces offsets and charming seasonal blooms

  • Long-lived, low-maintenance cactus for serious collectors
