Trichocereus Scopulicola x Trichocereus Bridgesii Cactus Seeds

Trichocereus scopulicola, also known as Echinopsis scopulicola is a columnar cactus from Bolivia. It was discovered and described by Friedrich Ritter. Its current status is unknown, but it may be extinct in nature. Trichocereus scopulicola grows in the cactus forests around the Tarija at around 1000-1500 meters. Trichocereus scopulicola grows columnar like a tree and pups from the base. It’s actually rare for this plant to produce numerous shoots and most plants don´t have any side shoots. It is distinguished by a lack of spines. Usually 3-6 spines that are very small and up to 1.5 mm long.

Trichocereus bridgesii is a tall, columnar cactus from the high deserts of Bolivia. It is native to Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. The seeds are pure non-hybridized bridgesii.Trichocereus bridgesii can grow up to 2 meters tall and have multiple branches. It has a large variability in the number of ribs (0-9) and produces some of the most fascinating forms of variation. The cactus shows nocturnal flowers up to 15 centimeters in diameter. This cactus is cold hardy and can withstand temperatures down to freezing if kept dry. Hardy to at least USDA zone 7 and possibly even colder. An excellent addition to a rare plant collection.
