Description
Trichocereus Macrogonus Seeds
Trichocereus macrogonus (Echinopsis macrogoa) is at least partially synonymous with Echinopsis peruviana / Trichocereus peruvianus and it is difficult to clearly divide them. Both are contending names and due the older age of Trichocereus macrogonus (back then it was still called Cereus macrogonus, which was the name from the first description by Salm-Dyck), it´s possible that Trichocereus macrogonus / Echinopsis macrogona will replace Trichocereus peruvianus / Echinopsis peruviana as main species name for this group of plants.
Echinopsis macrogonus, is a species of cactus found in Bolivia. It has erect columnar stems. The stem is bluish green with 6–9 prominent ribs. Large white flowers, up to 18 cm (7.1 in) long, are borne at the top of the stems
