Trichocereus peruvianus is a legendary columnar cactus closely related to the San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus Pachanoi). While San Pedro is known for its vibrant green stems, the Peruvian Torch stands out with its striking blue-green skin, thicker spines, and slightly faster vertical growth.

Trichocereus Peruvianus also known as Echinopsis Peruvianua or Peruvian Torch Cactus is a close cousin of the San Pedro cactus which is found in the same region.  It prefers a frost-free climate but can withstand short dry spells below freezing.
