Opuntia Basilaris Seeds | Beavertail Cactus Seeds
O. basilaris is found throughout the USA, mostly in the mohave desert. It displays beautiful pink to rose coloured flowers and are typically spineless. The Cahuilla Native Americans used beavertail as a food staple. The buds were cooked or steamed, and then were eaten or stored. The exceptionally large seeds are ground up to be eaten as mush.
