• A true Pachanoi variety, often described as having a blue-green or glaucous tint to its skin, distinguishing it from darker green typical Pachanoi types.

Kimnach (Pachanoi “Kimnach”)

• A well-known landrace clone of Pachanoi, originally collected near Cajamarca, Peru in 1984 by Myron Kimnach (HBG 53196)

• Noted for longer spines relative to other Pachanoi clones, earning it the nickname “short‑spine Peruvianus.” Its ribs are strongly notched and skin becomes darker green over time.

• Growers talk about Kimnach as a potent and attractive parent clone, speculated to rival established strains like Torres & Torres.
