Description
Leuchtenbergia Principis Cactus Seeds
Leuchtenbergia principis, commonly known as the Agave Cactus, is a slow-growing species native to central Mexico. It forms a single stem with long, triangular, leaf-like tubercles that give it an agave-like appearance. Mature plants can reach 20–70 cm in height.
Each tubercle ends in a cluster of papery, flexible spines. The plant produces yellow funnel-shaped flowers from the crown during warm months. It prefers full sun, low humidity, and a fast-draining mineral soil mix.
Seeds germinate under warm conditions (20–28 °C) with stable moisture and bright, indirect light. This species is suitable for collectors and growers who maintain dry, well-lit environments typical for desert cacti.
