Euphorbia obesa, commonly known as the Baseball Plant, is a distinctive succulent native to the Great Karoo region of South Africa, particularly the Eastern Cape. It naturally grows in dry, rocky areas where rainfall is limited and temperatures can be extreme.

Its almost perfectly round shape is an adaptation that helps the plant store water, allowing it to survive long periods of drought. Unlike many succulents, Euphorbia obesa does not have prominent spines, making its unusual ball-like form even more noticeable.
