Myrtillocactus Geometrizans Cactus Seeds

Myrtillocactus (from Latin, “blueberry cactus”) is a genus of cacti. The genus is found from Mexico to Guatemala. The genus is best known with Myrtillocactus geometrizans.

It has edible fruit which is a dark purple berry 1–2 cm diameter. With favourable conditions it can reach heights of up to 15 feet.

Myrtillocactus is a very mutable species with many interesting growth forms. Seeds can grow to look like any of of the Myrtillocactus Geometrizans forms shown in the photos. Myrtillocactus geometrizans fukurokuryuzinboku and crest are type forms of M. geometrizans.
